Product(s) Recalled:	"Illera" brand Chorizo in 8-pound plastic trays, two trays per case, "Illera" brand Chorizo Cular en Mitadas in 12 to 16 ounce packages packed eight pieces per master case and "Palacio's" brand Chorizo Cular, approximately 2-pounds each, packed six per master case.
Production Dates/Identifying Codes:	The code number "272200" appears on the "Palacio's" brand Chorizo Cular master case label, the code 264200 appears on the "Illera" brand Chorizo Cular en Mitadas master case label, the individual packages of Chorizo Cular en Mitadas bear only the number 16 in the Spanish government mark of inspection.
Problem/Reason for Recall:	Salmonella or Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
How/When Discovered:	A sample collected on August 16, 1999, returned a positive result for Salmonella on August 23, 1999. A sample collected on August 19, 1999, returned a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes on August 26, 1999. A sample collected on August 24, 1999, returned a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes on September 3, 1999. All samples were collected by the Food Safety and Inspection Service import inspection personnel.
