Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Produced October 29, 30, 31, November 2, 1998; sellby dates of November 7, 8, 9, and 11; codes of 1107, 1108, 1109, 1111
Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible contamination with E. coli O157:H7
How/When Discovered: Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regularly tests ground beef at retail stores. Product sampled by Florida at a retail store in Orlando was found positive for E. coli O157:H7.

Quantity Recalled: About 300,000 pounds; because of sell-by dates in early November, most of the product is estimated to have already been consumed.
