Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Packaged July 19, 1999, the master shipping cases bear a code of G19-2, the individual prepackaged and bulk product sold to the retail customer are not coded.
Problem/Reason for Recall: Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
How/When Discovered: A sample collected by FSIS inspection personnel on July 20, 1999, returned a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes on July 29, 1999.
