Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Packaged July 20, 1999, a code of H56197A, H56194A, H56194B, or G76196A is located after "LOT NO." on the outer box
Problem/Reason for Recall: Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
How/When Discovered: A sample collected by FSIS inspection personnel on July 20, 1999, returned a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes on July 27, 1999. Investigation, on July 28, 1999, determined that product represented by the sample had been distributed in commerce.
