| Problem/Reason for Recall: | Possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. |
| How/When Discovered: | A sample, collected by Georgia Department of Agriculture personnel from a retail market on May 22, 2000, returned positive results for Listeria monocytogenes on May 28, 2000. Georgia Department of Agriculture authorities notified FSIS of the lab results on May 28, 2000 and FSIS notified the firm immediately. |
