Product(s) Recalled:  Ready-to-Eat ''Mailhot's Best'' brand of ''Cretons Pork Spread'' in 10- ounce plastic cups and 5- pound tin pans.
Production Dates/Identifying Codes: Produced on April 27, 2000, and packaged on April 28, 2000. A white sticker with a ''Sell By 0526'' is affixed on the container labels. Establishment number 9662 in the USDA mark of inspection on the labels. The shipping boxes are labeled with the same information as the individual containers.
Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
How/When Discovered: The recall is in response to the finding of Listeria monocytogenes by the Food Safety and Inspection Service through its routine microbiological testing program.
