Production Dates/Identifying Codes: The products were sliced and packaged on April 20, 2000. Labels bear the products' name ''Roast Beef 17239'' or ''Olde Virginia Brand Boneless Ham.'' The plant's establishment numbers 10270 and P-10270 are imprinted in the USDA inspection legend on the labels. The roast beef is packaged in 4-ounce and 10 pound vacuum packages, and the ham in 5-pound and 17 pound vacuum packages.
Problem/Reason for Recall: Possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
How/When Discovered: The recall is in response to the finding of Listeria monocytogenes by the Food Safety and Inspection Service through its routine microbiological testing program.
