How to Gain a Federal Grant of Inspection

The FSIS Office of Outreach, Employee Education and Training will be co-sponsoring two meetings
with the Washington and Oregon Departments of Agriculture regarding the steps that plants must
take to apply for an FSIS Federal Grant of Inspection (see the dates and locations listed below).
Both meetings will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
There is no cost to attend the meetings.
Washington residents are being asked to register by August 24 with the Washington State Department
of Agriculture's Food Safety Program. Contact Shari Elliff at (360) 902-1967, or

Oregon residents should register by August 21 by contacting Karen Apiado with the Oregon Department of Agriculture's Food Safety
