National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection to Meet on the Proposed Rule on the Modernization of Poultry Slaughter Inspection
USDA will host a meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection (NACMPI) to review and discuss the Proposed Rule on the Modernization of Poultry Slaughter Inspection that was published in the Federal Register on January 27, 2012.

The meeting will be held via web conference on March 21, 2012, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., EST.

FSIS will provide an overview of the proposed rule, followed by open discussion and comments. The details, an agenda, and instructions for accessing the conference will be available on the NACMPI page (www.fsis.usda.gov/About_FSIS/NACMPI). FSIS welcomes public comments through April 23 on the topic discussed at the public meeting. Comments may be submitted to NACMPI@fsis.usda.gov or NACMPI, USDA, FSIS, 14th & Independence Avenue, SW., Room 1180-S, South Building, Washington, DC 20250. All submissions must include docket number FSIS-2012-0016.
