Produced on various dates from June 22, 2006 through July 18, 2006. The following products are subject to recall:
  • 1 lb (16 oz.) chub packages of "TWIN VALLEY BISON/BUFFALO GROUND BISON." Each product bears the sell by date of "041807."
  • 12 oz. packages of "TWIN VALLEY BISON/BUFFALO NEW YORK STRIP STEAK." Each product bears the sell by date of "042507."
  • 12 oz. packages of "TWIN VALLEY BISON/BUFFALO RIBEYE STEAK." Each product bears the sell by date of "042507."
  • 8 oz. packages of "TWIN VALLEY BISON/BUFFALO TENDERLOIN." Each package bears the sell by date of "042507" or "051407."
  • 12 oz. packages of "TWIN VALLEY BISON/BUFFALO SIRLOIN STEAK." Each package bears the sell by date of "051407."

Each package bears the establishment number "EST. 32035" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Problem/Reason for Recall:
The bison products are misbranded in that they incorrectly bear the USDA mark of inspection for red meat products.
