Humane Interactive Knowledge Exchange (HIKE) Comment Page
The Policy Development Division (PDD) (formerly known as Technical Service Center (TSC)) will use this page to present newly developed HIKE scenarios before they are distributed to Inspection Program personnel. Preliminary HIKE scenarios will be posted for a period of 5 working days. During this period, inspection personnel, industry, consumers, and others, will have an opportunity to review and comment on the HIKE.

PDD welcomes any comments that will assist in ensuring that HIKE scenarios are clear, understandable, and effectively articulate how to implement the specific Agency policy addressed. All comments should be e-mailed to Hike@fsis.usda.gov.

After the comment period is over, all comments will be reviewed by PDD, and any necessary and appropriate changes will be made to the HIKE. The preliminary HIKE scenario will then be removed from this page, posted with the other HIKEs on the PDD (TSC) Web page, and distributed to inspection personnel. If you have any questions regarding the HIKE Scenario Comment Page contact the PDD at 1-800-233-3935.
