Recent Outreach
Coordinating Committee on Latin America and the Caribbean (CCLAC): The U.S.
Codex Office concluded a three-day colloquium in Panama City, Panama, on January 17. Delegates from the
United States and 23 CCLAC member countries exchanged views to prepare for participation in upcoming Codex
meetings. The colloquium was co-hosted with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture
(IICA) and attended by representatives from Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica,
Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Grenada, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua,
Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago, the United States, and Uruguay.
This is the 8th CCLAC colloquium since this series began in 2008.
Upcoming Meetings
Task Force on Animal Feeding (TFAF) will convene its 7th Session in Bern,
Switzerland, February 4-8, 2013. The Task Force will focus attention on two main documents:
Draft Guidelines on the Application of Risk Assessment for Feed, and Proposed Draft
Guidance for Use by Governments in Prioritizing Their National Feed Hazards. The proposed

Upcoming Public Meetings
Committee on Fats and Oils (CCFO): The U.S. Codex Office will convene a public
meeting on February 5 from 10:00-12:00 p.m., to go over the agenda for the next Session of CCFO at the United
States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Harvey Wiley Building, 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, Room 1A-002,

Committee on Methods of Analysis and Sampling (CCMAS): The U.S.
Codex Office will convene a public meeting on February 5 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., to go over the agenda
for the next Session of CCMAS at the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Harvey Wiley Building,
5100 Paint Branch Parkway, Room 1A-001, College Park, MD 20740. Individuals may also participate via

be held in Budapest, Hungary, from March 4-8, 2013.
Committee on Food Additives (CCFA): The U.S. Codex Office will convene a public
meeting on February 11 from 09:00-12:00 p.m., to go over the agenda for the next Session of CCFA at the
United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Harvey Wiley Building, 5100 Paint Branch Parkway, Rooms
1A-001 &1A-002, College Park, MD 20740. Conference call information will be provided to registered
attendees. The upcoming Session of CCFA will be held in Beijing, China, from March 18-22, 2013.
