The Codex Committee on Fresh Fruits and Vegetables is responsible for elaborating world-wide standards and codes of practice for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable standards and codes of practice adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission are located in Volume 5B of the Codex Alimentarius, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Standards.

The 15th Session of CCFFV will be held in Mexico City, Mexico from October 19-23, 2009.

The Committee will continue working on:
  • Layout for Codex Standards on Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
  • Amendments to the Priority List for the Standardization of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
New Work
  • Revision of the Codex Standard for Avocado
  • Proposed New Codex Standard for Durian
  • Proposed New Codex Standard for Chili Pepper
  • Proposed New Codex Standard for Tree Tomato
